I found myself pondering the energy that is created between two people. Some people call it love, others tension...whether good energy or bad.
The neurons in our brain communicate with electrical currents through small gaps called synapses. Physically, the neurons are not connected, but upon learning something new, especially in the first years of life, the neurons secrete a fluid to help them develop connections to neurons close to them.
They either maintain these connections or the connection is lost. (i.e. deterioration of memory).
Also, as the neurons get older, they are less likely to make new connections...
If our brain is making connections at a time in our life that is crucial to learning about our world and making connections (acquaintances) with the people already in it...then a comparison can be made between the energy of our neurons and the acquaintances they make...and the social relationships we ourselves make in our reality.
I will say that our neurons have a social nature...which in turn, makes us social creatures with those that we see ourselves making acquaintances with.
If our body and mind is solely dependent on the electrical currents between neurons...
What would happen if humans became less social?
What could be dependent on the energy that we create during our social interactions?
If the human race is just a network of neurons then what happens when they deteriorate?
The universe is a mass of energies...our brain is a mass of energies..
There seems to be a certain advantage to making (and keeping) many good, healthy relationships in a human's life. Many good friends gives one a sense of well-being. Many warm family members gives one a sense of safety, security and a place in the familial history. Many great teachers may help one to succeed and go far in life. Through all these close people that we are connected to socially, we are in turn, connected to those that they are connected to socially, and so on...
All of this social interaction creates the energy that makes our emotions..
What if this energy is not for our benefit...just as the electrical currents between neurons are not for their benefit?
What if this energy is crucial to the success of the universe and beneficial to that which we cannot comprehend?
Maybe we are not supposed to comprehend because our instinctual nature keeps us wrapped up in our everyday drama. If not for this instinct, the human race as a network would not be completing its proper function...
If neurons in a brain do not complete their proper functioning and are inhibited in some way, the one who suffers is the host body (person) that belongs to the brain.
If one area does not function as well as other areas, the one who suffers is the owner of the brain...
The human race and the energy we create may just be a very small section of the universe and our proper functioning (which may as well be considered as beyond our comprehension) is to the benefit of the "owner" of the universe... this is also beyond our comprehension, just as the actual functioning of the neurons in our brain is beyond what the neurons can comprehend. (to personify a bit...)
They continue to interact which leads to our body and mind functioning properly..
The universe may very well be just a network of energies made for the functioning of something we may call in our religious age, God.
If God is the "creator" then why can he not be the owner of the brain we know as the universe?
I doubt it would make a difference to us (we would be none the wiser) if our neurons were praying to us and making little shrines.
We just want them to continue functioning instinctively to create the energies that powers our life as we know it....
